This San Clemente bedroom started with a painted diamond-checkerboard plywood floor and dated windows. The work replaced the fundamentals: wide-plank oak flooring laid wall to wall, new white-trimmed windows, and fresh baseboards and casing throughout. With green walls and French doors opening to the patio, the finished room reads nothing like where it started. The before-and-after slider below shows the same room on both sides of the work.
