Water damage from a leak or flood needs more than cosmetic patching. Carrieri Construction repairs the damage at its source and rebuilds the affected areas to full standard. We serve Dana Point and south Orange County, and we answer emergency calls outside regular business hours.
Why water damage needs a general contractor
Water rarely damages only what you can see. A stain on the ceiling can mean saturated framing above it, and a warped floor can mean a subfloor problem below. As a licensed general contractor (CSLB #1138940), we open up what needs to be opened, fix the cause, and rebuild every layer:
- Find the source of the water and fix it before any rebuilding starts
- Remove damaged drywall, insulation, flooring, and framing that can't be saved
- Rebuild the structure: framing, subfloor, drywall, and finish surfaces
- Match the new flooring, texture, trim, and paint to the rest of your home
- Coordinate permits and inspections when the repair requires them
The test of a good repair
Can you find the repair a year later? If you can, it was a patch. Our finish standard on water damage work is the same one we hold on our remodels: when we're done, the repaired area looks like the rest of your home.

Do you take emergency water damage calls?
Yes. Our regular hours are Monday through Friday, 7 to 5, but water doesn't keep business hours. If you have active damage, call (858) 776-6692 — we answer emergency calls after hours.
The water's dried out. Why does it still need repair?
Drying stops the immediate problem; it doesn't undo what the water did. Soaked framing, swollen drywall, and buckled flooring don't recover on their own. We repair from the source outward and rebuild the affected areas to full standard, so the room is genuinely whole again — not patched over.
How do I know how bad the damage really is?
Water travels, so the stain you can see is often the smallest part of it. We open up what needs opening, trace how far the water went, and give you a written scope of the actual repair — not a guess from the doorway.
